To RT OR NOT TO RT

Recently someone tweeted to me You RT so much total wastage of Space. For a second I was taken back, is he/she right?  Am I wasting my space by RTing other’s tweet? For a second I believed him/her but then I saw my DM, there was one message. It was message from someone who wanted me to RT a very important tweet.

There was a tweet which was saying I am wasting my space by RTing too often and then there was this DM with request to RT tweet.

I asked myself few questions

• Why am I on Twitter?
• Am I on twitter for time pass or for some mission?
• How i felt when for the first time someone RTed my tweet?
• How I feel when someone reacts to my tweets?
• How I feel when someone important reacts to my tweet or RT?
• How I feel when my thoughts are being read by so many out there?

It took me on back on my twitter journey. When I started I had thoughts but reached to very few. Then slowly people started discovering me, thanks to all those who RTed my tweets, reacted to my tweets and gave my thoughts space on their TLs, thanks to all those who RTed today 13248 people are following me.

This gave me inspiration to write this blog "To RT or Not to RT" Here I have put reasons why I RT and Why I don't RT certain tweets.

I RT tweets cause

 

•  I want message to reach maximum people on twitter
• Many times tweeples wants me to pass their thoughts to others
• To report spam Abusive and obscene tweets, that may be threatening of nature also.
• want like minded people to come in touch with each other, follow each other, react to each others tweets, it helps my mission - “Next PM - Narendra Modi”  
• I understand power of Social media in spreading message
• I strongly believe in marketing Funda “Jo dikhta hai woh Bikta Hai”

What I don’t RT:

• Meaningless tweets of all those who are no celebs on Twitter
• of those who already  have good number of followers
• of those who don’t RT others (including my tweets)
• of Women Tweeples who are often abused with foul language and sexiest comments, I don’t like women being abused on my TL
• Abusive Tweets that are so obscene that I would never like to be on my TL
• Tweets which has abusive words.
